Palmer is rich, velvety and aromatic, blending Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in roughly equal parts with a little Petit Verdot. It is approachable earlier than many Médoc wines yet ages for decades.
Château Palmer is a Third Growth of Margaux that regularly makes wine of First Growth standard. It is named after Charles Palmer, a British general who bought the estate in 1814, and is owned today by the Sichel and Mähler-Besse families.
Palmer is farmed biodynamically and uses an unusually high share of Merlot for the Médoc, giving wines of lush texture and perfume.
