Bordeaux

Montrose is a deep, structured wine led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with dark fruit, graphite and a firm backbone of tannin. It is slow to mature, and the best vintages last for many decades.
Château Montrose sits on a gravel ridge overlooking the Gironde estuary in Saint-Estèphe. It was classified a Second Growth in 1855 and since 2006 has been owned by Martin and Olivier Bouygues, who have invested heavily in the vineyard and in an environmentally minded new winery.
Montrose is known for powerful, long-lived wines that can rival the First Growths in great vintages.
