About this wine
La Tâche is the domaine’s other monopole, a vineyard it owns outright. Often described as the most complete of its wines, it combines richness with perfume, spice and great length, and is generally regarded as second only to Romanée-Conti itself.
About Domaine de la Romanee-Conti
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, in the village of Vosne-Romanée, is widely regarded as the greatest wine estate in Burgundy. It is jointly owned by the de Villaine and Leroy-Roch families and makes almost only Grand Cru wines.
The domaine owns the whole of two legendary vineyards, Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, as well as parcels of Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grands-Échezeaux, Échezeaux, Corton and Le Montrachet. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically with very low yields, and the small quantities made are allocated, making its wines among the rarest and most sought after in the world.
