Taittinger’s flagship, made entirely from Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and only in the best years. It is creamy, mineral and elegant, and develops great complexity with age.
Taittinger is one of the few major Champagne houses owned and run by its family. Based in Reims, it is known for a Chardonnay-led style of elegance and finesse.
Its prestige wine is Comtes de Champagne, a Blanc de Blancs first made with the 1952 vintage, with a rosé version. Since 1983 the house has also released some vintages as the Taittinger Collection, in bottles dressed by leading artists such as Vieira da Silva, Arman, Vasarely, André Masson and Roberto Matta.
