Bordeaux
La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is the estate’s white wine, made in very small quantities from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Until the 2008 vintage it was sold as Laville Haut-Brion. It is one of the great dry whites of Bordeaux, rich and complex, and ages for decades.
Château La Mission Haut-Brion lies in Pessac, on the edge of the city of Bordeaux, across the road from Château Haut-Brion. Named after the mission priests who owned it from the late seventeenth century, it has belonged to Domaine Clarence Dillon, the owners of Haut-Brion, since 1983.
It is a Classified Growth of Graves and is widely considered to make wines of First Growth quality, both red and white.
